August 15, 2024, is the second National Ecological Day, with the theme of "Accelerating the Comprehensive Green Transformation of Economic and Social Development". On that day, the Guangdong branch of the National Ecology Day was held in the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone in Zhuhai City, showcasing the achievements of Guangdong's ecological civilization construction work, releasing 20 typical cases of comprehensive green transformation, and awarding licenses to the first batch of 48 carbon peak and carbon neutrality pilot projects in Guangdong Province.
